Educational & Residential Requirements

A.  Educational requirements of studying in Persian Language Center

1-  The Persian Language Center has TWO courses for Persian language: General and advanced.

2-  Each normal course of the center takes 16 weeks to complete.

3-  It is possible to hold short and intensive courses of Persian language in two-week, one-month, 45-days and two-month periods.

4-  Holders of educational degrees from Iranian institutes and universities are not allowed to attend Persian Language Learning courses.

5- Students graduated from non-Iranian institutes are introduced to the Center to pass the courses of Persian Language Learning Center after the final admission.

6- If the accepted students pass the placement test, they can enter the advanced course without passing the general course.

7- Accepted students whom are required to attend the educational courses of the Center, after successful completion of the course, will be introduced to the Educational Deputy of the University for the final registration.

 

B.  Educational Requirements for studying at Imam Khomeini International University

1-  The admission is valid only for one year after registration.

2-  The acceptance of application does not mean the registrations are final and doesn’t give any rights to applicants to study at the university.

3-  Applicants shall pass the final admission processes at the Ministry of Science and obtain and provide a study Visa in order to begin their studies.

4-  The accepted students may begin their studies on first of Mehr (September 23)

5-  Submitting the original and certified documents at the time of the final registration is obligatory.

6-  Simultaneous study of International Students at two educational institutes in Iran is not permitted.

7-  The permitted durations of study for Bachelor's, Master's and PhD levels are 4, 2 and 4 years respectively.

8-  The permitted study duration starts after the final registration when the students begin their studies.

9-  The equivalence of the credits passed at other educational centers is subject to the opinion of the Director of the relevant department and the educational rules of the University.

10- Non-scholarship students should pay the fixed tuition fees of the program for the first semester approved by the University Board of Trustees, according to the field and the admitted academic degree.

 

C.  Residential Requirements

1-   Primary registration of foreign residents of Iran, depends on having one of the following documents of residency or identity:

A: Refugee certificate issued by the police (Islamic Republic of Iran’s Police)

B: Valid passport

C: Identity card for non-Iranian residents issued by the office of Bureau for Aliens and Foreign Immigrants Affairs (BAFIA)           

D: Paper of Long time leave Permit 

2- Applicants with two nationalities are not applicable. If any applicant is revealed to have two nationalities in any stage of the admission, his/her application will be canceled.

3- Except for some cases proclaimed by Bureau for Aliens and Foreign Immigrants Affairs (BAFIA), the final registration and the beginning of study at the university for accepted applicants who are living in Iran, depends on doing the legal formalities of exiting from the country and getting a valid visa.

4- In case of the existence of any evidence against the eligibility of the applicants, the Bureau for Aliens and Foreign Immigrants Affairs (BAFIA) will prevent them from continuing their education.

5- Upon issuance of the Student Visa for students residing abroad, the university will inform the students to get their Visa from the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in their country.

6- The accepted student should refer to the Consular Affairs of International Students office at the university, immediately after getting their student visa, in order to tend to all the necessary affairs of the educational residency.

7- The accepted applicants who are living in Iran are responsible for tracking all the steps of consul affairs for getting the student visa with the university's recommendation letter; if not done so on time , no excuses will be accepted in case of any problems caused. (in case the registration does not get completed.)

8- During the course of study, international students must apply for an extension of their residency through Consular Affairs of International Students one month before the end of their residency.

9- the presentation of the certificate of graduation and the transcripts to international graduates of the university depends on them getting and presenting the decisive exit paper from Iran, according to the circular 41/12/98203 of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Research on 2009/01/23 (1388/11/01).

10- The university is not committed to issue residency for (to) the families of the students (except their spouses and children).

11- The university is not committed to issue residency permission for (to) the foreign students after they finish their education, meaning they should leave Iran after graduation.
